A clean, well lit space out of direct sun and wind makes the job easier, and a bucket with car wash soap for the decontamination wash before you start is essential.
Beyond that, the most valuable tools are patience and preparation. Thorough cleaning around door seals, handles, and panel edges prevents trapped dirt from ending up under the paint protection film. Some experienced installers keep a fine needle on hand to release stubborn air bubbles after the film dries, though this is entirely optional and not required for a great result.
